Description

Add a variety of larger seed pods to your habitat with this pack which includes our most popular large seed pods. These seed pods have a dual purpose of being natural decor in aquariums, terrariums, and habitats and isopods and springtails also enjoy using them as hides. They are great botanicals for naturalistic terrariums, and they do hold up well in humid vivariums. The photos illustrate the general size and shape of the pods you will receive. This pack contains 1 Ram's Horn pod, 1 Lotus pod, 1 Talami pod, 1 coco flower, and 1 urchin pod. NOTE: Ram's horn will lose its shape if placed in an aquarium. It also produces a lot of biofilm.

If using in an aquarium, it is recommended to boil the seed pods for 15-20 to release some tannins and then soak the pods in water for several hours to overnight to help the pods become waterlogged and sink. Start by adding one or two pods to see how your aquarium reacts. Adding too many pods can make the water dark. You can always add more seed pods as needed.

Live insects are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays ONLY. Orders placed before Monday at 10:00 a.m. EST will ship on Monday. Orders placed from 10:00 a.m. EST Monday to 10:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday, will ship on Tuesday. All orders placed after 10:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday will ship on Monday.

Live arrival is only guaranteed with FedEx Overnight. We do not ship any live insects if your temperature is below 40F regardless of the shipping option you choose. Please read our full shipping policy.

FedEx Overnight is $49 and Live Arrival is Guaranteed if your temperature is 45F to 80F. If your temps are outside of this range, contact us for official FedEx hubs that the box can be held at for pick up. (FedEx Office, Walgreens, your local postal center, etc. are NOT official FedEx hubs.)

If your temperature is 40F to 45F or above 80F, we strongly recommend requesting that your box be held for pick up in the text box above the add to cart button by typing the word HOLD or YES.
