Florida Fast isopods are small super speedy isopods that are often used in bioactive terrariums as a clean-up crew.  Fast isopods reproduce quickly, and they are slightly larger than other dwarf isopods.  Florida Fast isopods are great cleaners, and they enjoy a lot of leaf litter and decaying wood.  These isopods do require humidity; however, they tend to hang out mostly on the "dry" side of their bin.  Fast isopods have the same care requirements as common isopods.  We provide them with cuttlebone, fish food flakes, a lot of leaf litter, bark, cholla wood, and small pieces of veggies such as carrots.  Please see our blog and YouTube channel for care tips.

Isopods will be shipped in a container of organic peat moss, sphagnum moss, and organic leaf litter.

A thick layer of leaf litter at all times is the key to a thriving isopod colony.

FedEx Overnight is $49 and Live Arrival is Guaranteed if your temperature is 45F to 80F. If your temps are outside of this range, contact us for official FedEx hubs that the box can be held at for pick up. (FedEx Office, Walgreens, your local postal center, etc. are NOT official FedEx hubs.)

If your temperature is 40F to 45F or above 80F, we strongly recommend requesting that your box be held for pick up in the text box above the add to cart button by typing the word HOLD or YES.
