Dysoxylum pods, often referred to as "Lafia Pods" or "Lali Pods" in the botanical and craft trade, are the unique dried fruit capsules of trees belonging to the genus Dysoxylum (family Meliaceae). This genus encompasses numerous species, primarily found across tropical and subtropical Asia.  Dysoxylum pods are typically thick, woody seed pods that are deeply dimpled or ribbed on the outside and surprisingly smooth on the inside.   2. Soak: Soak in clean water overnight or longer if needed, changing the water daily, until they are fully waterlogged and the desired amount of tannin has been leached.

  3. Ready to Use: Once they sink and you've achieved your desired water coloration, they are ready to be added to your setup.
