The 100% natural seed pods in this grab bag are imperfect, but they still work just fine in bioactive terrariums and isopod bins as ground scatter.  These pods are broken, small, misshapen, or didn't fit our standards to be sold. 

We use the irregular pods in our isopod bins and dart frog vivariums.  The seed pods still enrich the substrate by releasing nutrients as they break down, and they still make excellent hides for isopods and springtails -- if you don't mind them being broken.  

You will receive one small 4"x6" bag of broken/irregular pods.  Each bag is different.  Approximately 3/4 to 1 cup of broken/misfit pods.

If using in an aquarium, it is recommended to boil the seed pods for 15-20 to release some tannins, and then soak the pods in water for several hours to overnight to help the pods become waterlogged and sink.  Start by adding one or two pods to see how your aquarium reacts.  Adding too many pods can make the water dark.  You can always add more seed pods as needed.

FedEx Overnight is $49 and Live Arrival is Guaranteed if your temperature is 45F to 80F. If your temps are outside of this range, contact us for official FedEx hubs that the box can be held at for pick up. (FedEx Office, Walgreens, your local postal center, etc. are NOT official FedEx hubs.)

If your temperature is 40F to 45F or above 80F, we strongly recommend requesting that your box be held for pick up in the text box above the add to cart button by typing the word HOLD or YES.

All shipping options include an insulated box and medical grade temperature control pack.
