This clean-up crew pack includes various sizes and species of isopods and springtails for your frog's bioactive enclosure.  It includes 20+ Trichorhina tomentosa Dwarf White isopods, 15 P. pruinosus Oreo Crumble isopods, and an 8 oz culture of a mixture of tropical/humid species springtails, which are on substrate.  If the enclosure is over 60 gallons, an additional culture of springtails and one or two additional cultures of isopods are recommended.

Other isopods/springtails that do well in tree frog bioactive terrariums include Venezillo parvus, Venezillo parvus Dalmatian, any P. pruinosus, Cubaris murina Little Sea, Party Mix, or Papaya, Folsomia candida springtails,  Pseudosinella violenta Bylas Ant, Seira dowlingi Silver, Coecobrya communis Pink/Tropical, or Proistoma Minuta.  P. laevis Gray/Dairy Cow/Milkback/Orange/White also do well in tropical/humid enclosures; however, use caution when using them as a clean-up crew with small animals as they enjoy protein and there is always a chance P. laevis could injure small animals.

Isopods will be shipped in a container of organic peat moss, sphagnum moss, and organic leaf litter.  Springtails are shipped in a container of topsoil and peat moss.  Both containers can be simply dumped on top of the enclosure's substrate.  There is no need to "bury" them in the substrate.

A thick layer of leaf litter at all times is the key to a thriving isopod colony.
