Also known as Collembola springtails.  Temperate springtails or common springtails are the long-time standard cleanup crew member.  Folsomia candida need a humid dam environment.  The springtails come on a soil substrate so the culture can be placed on top of the substrate layer of a vivarium, and they will easily establish themselves in the habitat.  These springtails reproduce readily and are an excellent feeder and clean-up crew.  We feed our cultures baking yeast.  Folsomia candida is one of the very few springtails that will survive on charcoal (although we do not recommend using charcoal because in our experience, they produce far better on soil or clay.)  This is an 8oz. culture on soil that contains 100+ springtails.  Please see the listing for Large Master Cultures for large booming established cultures with 500+ springtails.
