Description
Springtail Boost food is a combination of the favorite foods of captive-bred springtails. Springtail Boost contains four simple high-quality ingredients: rice flour, active dry yeast, brewer's yeast, and lion's mane mushroom powder. This food is appropriate for springtails on substrate, clay, and charcoal. Orange and Red springtails prefer fish food flakes and not this blend.
Recommended feeding: Feed one very tiny pinch of Springtail Boost twice weekly. DO NOT overfeed. Overfeeding will cause mold and CO2 build up. Springtails are very small, and they do not require a lot of food. If food remains after 48 hours, too much food was provided. We like to take a pinch of Springtail Boost and then release the food back into the bag and then sprinkle whatever food is left on our fingers into the springtail culture. It should be an extremely light dusting.
Springtail Boost comes in a resealable pouch. We agree that shaker bottles are convenient, but unfortunately, it's difficult to control the amount of food that comes out of the bottle, and too much food is fed to the springtails and mold is often the result.

UPS 2-Day $30. Live arrival guarantee if your temps are 45F to 80F. Any supplies ordered in addition to the live animals may ship separately.
UPS Overnight Air $60. Live arrival guarantee if your temps are 45F to 80F. **NOTE: Supplies must be purchased separately or the UPS Overnight option will not be displayed if there is any product that is not a live animal in your cart.
All shipping options include an insulated box, medical grade temperature control pack,.
We ship Monday through Wednesday only to minimize the risk of the live animals being delayed in possible harsh weather conditions over the weekend.
*For USPS, if your temperature is under 50F or above 80F, the box must be held for pick up at your local hub or post office for the live arrival guarantee. Even if you will be home to receive the package, these are live animals and they cannot survive extreme temperatures in a hot or cold delivery vehicle all day. If your temps are below 40F, it is unsafe to ship live animals, and the animals will not be shipped until the temperature is above 40F in your area. Live arrival guaranteed for the count purchased. It does not include any extras that may be sent. Please read full shipping policy.
Hold for pick up can be requested by typing HOLD in text box located near the "quantity" button or in the notes at checkout. Your order will be held for pick up at your local post office.
