Red Koi Isopods (Porcellionides pruinosus)

P. pruinosus Red Koi is a rare morph that is a medium-sized soft bodied isopod that reproduces moderately.  They are white with burnt orange splotches - not red like the name suggests, but they are still unique.  They are easy to keep and enjoy cuttlebone, vegetable pieces, flaked fish food, and dried shrimp.  Great beginner isopod.  Care is the same as all common isopod species.  Please see our blog and YouTube channel for care info and tips.

Isopods will be shipped in a container of organic peat moss, sphagnum moss, and organic leaf litter.

A thick layer of leaf litter at all times is the key to a thriving isopod colony.
