P. pruinosus "Powder Blue" is an excellent cleanup crew and additional food source in bioactive vivariums.  They are a fast medium-sized soft-bodies isopod that is orange when young, but as an adult is a powdery shade of blue.  Great beginner species.  They also reproduce quickly.. Pruinosis enjoy leaf litter, dried mealworms, fish flake, zucchini, and squash.  Powder Blue are very hardy and they can tolerate a wide range of environments.  Keep pruinosus the same as other common isopods.  Please see our YouTube channel and blog for care guides and tips.
