Description

Caret Down

Powder Orange Isopods (Porcellionides pruinosus "Orange") are our most popular isopod — and for good reason. One of the best beginner isopods available, Powder Oranges are a top-rated clean-up crew for bioactive vivariums, terrariums, and reptile or amphibian enclosures. Medium-sized and fast-reproducing, they are incredibly docile with soft bodies that make them an ideal feeder for dart frogs, small geckos, baby chameleons, and other small reptiles and amphibians.

They tolerate a wide range of environments including semi-arid and humid setups, making them one of the most versatile isopods available.

Best for: Bioactive vivariums, semi-arid and tropical enclosures, dart frog tanks, feeder isopods for small reptiles and amphibians, beginner isopod keepers

Frequently asked: Yes, Powder Orange Isopods work great in both desert and tropical vivariums. They are safe with dart frogs and other small amphibians and are one of the most recommended feeders for small insectivores.
