P. scaber Piebald has a recessive gene, and the black/gray and white color of the individuals can be highly variable with some appearing mostly black/gray.  Scaber do well in bioactive vivariums, but they do love protein.  Scaber Piebald isopods have the same care requirements as other common isopods.  Please see our blog and YouTube channel for care information and tips.  We provide cuttlebone, and we supplemental feed carrots, squash, dried fish/shrimp, and flaked fish food.
