P. laevis is an active isopod that is an excellent isopod to add to your bioactive clean-up crew, and they are a good substitution for Giant Canyon isopods since Giant Canyon isopods are not permitted in some states.  They reproduce quickly, can tolerate a wide range of environments, are easy to keep, and they are not picky about food.  They do not get as large as Milkback or Dairy Cow isopods.  We provide all laevis with cuttlebone for calcium, and we supplemental feed them carrots, zucchini, squash, dried fish/shrimp, and fish food flakes.  Great beginner isopod.  Laevis isopod care is the same as other common isopods.  Please see our blog and YouTube channel for care guides and tips.

FedEx Overnight is $49 and Live Arrival is Guaranteed if your temperature is 45F to 80F. If your temps are outside of this range, contact us for official FedEx hubs that the box can be held at for pick up. (FedEx Office, Walgreens, your local postal center, etc. are NOT official FedEx hubs.)
