Great beginner isopod that is very docile.  Just like other P. pruinosus, Oreo Crumble are a medium-sized soft bodied isopod that reproduces quickly.  Oreo Crumble can tolerate a range of environments, and they are a popular bioactive clean-up crew member.  They are easy to keep and enjoy cuttlebone, vegetable pieces, fish food flakes, and a lot of leaves.  Oreo Crumble isopods should be kept the same as common isopods.  Please see our YouTube channel and blog for care information.

Isopods will be shipped in a container of organic peat moss, sphagnum moss, and organic leaf litter.

A thick layer of leaf litter at all times is the key to a thriving isopod colony.

Shipping and Live Arrival Guarantee

Live animal flat-rate USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail shipping is $18. It includes an insulated box, medical grade temperature control pack, and live arrival guarantee. We ship Monday through Wednesday only to minimize the risk of the live animals being delayed in possible harsh weather conditions over the weekend.

*If your temperature is under 40F or above 80F, the box must be held for pick up at your local post office for the live arrival guarantee.  Even if you will be home to receive the package, these are live animals and they cannot survive extreme temperatures in a hot or cold delivery vehicle all day.  If your temps are below 32F, it is unsafe to ship live animals, and the animals will not be shipped until the temperature is above 32F in your area. Live arrival guaranteed for the count purchased.  It does not include any extras that may be sent.  Please read full shipping policy.

Hold for pick up can be requested by typing HOLD in text box located near the "quantity" button or in the notes at checkout.  Your order will be held for pick up at your local post office.

Honestly very good

I don't typically review but I got an email to remind me and honestly they deserve it. I ordered these and some dwarf whites /springtails. The packaging was extremely secure and included a cooling pack/insulation to help with the heat. All were in excellent shape and immediately ready to be added to my leos vivarium. (I add some yearly for genetic diversity).I didnt count but I'd say there were probably more than I ordered. No pics as I already added them all unfortunately but I strongly recommend this website. I think delivery was 2 or 3 days btw.
