Great beginner isopod that is very docile.  Just like other P. pruinosus, Oreo Crumble are a medium-sized soft bodied isopod that reproduces quickly.  Oreo Crumble can tolerate a range of environments, and they are a popular bioactive clean-up crew member.  They are easy to keep and enjoy cuttlebone, vegetable pieces, fish food flakes, and a lot of leaves.  Oreo Crumble isopods should be kept the same as common isopods.  Please see our YouTube channel and blog for care information.

Isopods will be shipped in a container of organic peat moss, sphagnum moss, and organic leaf litter.

A thick layer of leaf litter at all times is the key to a thriving isopod colony.
