These are small, broken, remnant pieces of Cholla.  We use them in isopod bins and in our bioactive vivariums.  There are 3 ounces of Cholla per package.  Photos show examples of 3 ounces of Cholla wood pieces.  These pieces are perfect if you want to put small pieces in isopod bins or under the leaf litter in bioactive enclosures.  The size, shape, and thickness of this natural product will vary. 

Cholla wood is the natural skeleton of a desert cactus, and it provides a place to hide for many animals.  It can be used in bioactive enclosures and aquariums.  Animals that enjoy Cholla are isopods, microfauna, fish, hermit crabs, millipedes, beetles, roaches, reptiles, arachnids, birds, etc.  It is also used for air plants and crafts.

Live animal flat-rate USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail shipping is $18. It includes an insulated box, medical grade temperature control pack, and live arrival guarantee. We ship Monday through Wednesday only to minimize the risk of the live animals being delayed in possible harsh weather conditions over the weekend.

*If your temperature is under 45F or above 80F, the box must be held for pick up at your local post office for the live arrival guarantee.  Even if you will be home to receive the package, these are live animals and they cannot survive extreme temperatures in a hot or cold delivery vehicle all day.  If your temps are below 40F, it is unsafe to ship live animals, and the animals will not be shipped until the temperature is above 40F in your area. Live arrival guaranteed for the count purchased.  It does not include any extras that may be sent.  Please read full shipping policy.

Hold for pick up can be requested by typing HOLD in text box located near the "quantity" button or in the notes at checkout.  Your order will be held for pick up at your local post office.
