Description
St. Lucia Isopods (Armadillidium vulgare "St. Lucia") are some of our absolute favorite isopods and a must-have for any collection. These stunning roly-poly isopods come in a rainbow of colors — tan, orange, black, and yellow — making them as beautiful as they are functional. Slower breeders but easy to keep, St. Lucias are an excellent choice for terrariums where controlled reproduction is preferred. They work particularly well in terrariums due to their slower reproduction rate.
Best for: Bioactive terrariums, isopod collections, reptile and amphibian enclosures, keepers who prefer slower-reproducing species
We provide cuttlebone and supplemental feed our St. Lucia isopods carrots, squash, zucchini, dried fish, dried shrimp, and fish food flakes. Leaves are extremely important for all isopods. For care guides, visit our blog and YouTube channel.
Why IHEARTBUGS? We are a USDA and FDACS permitted facility with over a decade of experience raising healthy, thriving isopod colonies.
Sold as 10 isopods.

Amazing! Nothing short of amazing! My order arrived on time and was packaged EXTREMELY well. There was a "live guarantee" for my St. Lucia's, but I knew I didn't even have to worry about it based on my previous order. This is my very first time ordering/having/caring for any bugs/insects. I put them in my terrarium (also very first time building/having one of those) along with some silver springtails that I ordered from iheartbugs. The St. Lucia isopods (and springtails) are doing great. They are very active, and are getting along beautifully with my Magic Potion (American) isopods. I received an assortment of peachy/amber and black/brown/earthy toned St. Lucias, all in different sizes. Some are small others are quite large. I also think I was sent more than 10. All of them were alive on arrival. I even had some questions (since I'm a first time terrarium and isopod owner) and Sara responded every single question I had about keeping them. Highly recommend this shop!!!!
