This is a 100+ count mixture of random miscellaneous species of isopods, which works great as a clean-up crew or feeders. You will receive 100+ random species of isopods mixed in one cup, which could be any combination of the isopods in our collection including Porcellio, Cubaris, Armadillidium, Trichorhina, Venezillo, et cetera. These discount isopods come from a mixed bin, and we do not hand select the isopods and put them in the cup. We cannot guarantee which species of isopods will or will not be in the cup, nor can species be separated into separate cups. It's completely random. This cup is not recommended if you want to set up species- or morph-specific bins to breed. This cup is best utilized as a bioactive clean-up crew or supplemental feeder insects.

Isopods will be shipped in a container of organic peat moss, sphagnum moss, and organic leaf litter.
A thick layer of leaf litter at all times is the key to a thriving isopod colony.

Live animal flat-rate USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail shipping is $18. Live arrival guarantee with USPS if your temperature is 45F to 80F. If your temperature is outside this range, request hold for pick up in the text box above the add to cart button by typing the word HOLD. The box will be held at the post office that services your ZIP code. All boxes held for pick up are covered by the live arrival guarantee.

All shipping options include an insulated box, medical grade temperature control pack,.
We ship Monday through Wednesday only to minimize the risk of the live animals being delayed in possible harsh weather conditions over the weekend. Depending on the current temperatures, shipping may occur on Saturday so the isopods/springtails travel during ideal weather conditions.
*For USPS, if your temperature is under 45F or above 80F, the box must be held for pick up at your local hub or post office for the live arrival guarantee. Even if you will be home to receive the package, these are live animals and they cannot survive extreme temperatures in a hot or cold delivery vehicle all day. If your temps are below 40F, it is unsafe to ship live animals, and the animals will not be shipped until the temperature is above 40F in your area. Live arrival guaranteed for the count purchased. It does not include any extras that may be sent. Please read full shipping policy.
Hold for pick up can be requested by typing HOLD in text box located near the "quantity" button or in the notes at checkout. Your order will be held for pick up at your local post office.

Great variety of isopods in my mixed order, only a few were large but the rest were small. Did not see any dead though which is great. Springtails seemed kind of sparce but it may just be because they look so tiny! Using them for my ball pythons enclosure once the smallest have grown a bit, altogether a good buy!
