One of our favorite springtails for bioactive enclosures, isopod bins, and they work really well for feeding small reptiles.  These are a smaller species, about half the size of temperate isopods.  They reproduce well, and they are not crazy running around all of the isopods like the tropicals most people use in isopod bins.  Upon magnification they are iridescent.  24K can tolerate drier conditions.  You will not regret adding some 24K to your isopod bin or bioactive.  This is an 8oz. culture on a soil substrate that is at least three weeks old with 50+ springtails. Very limited quantities available.

These springtails are also very easy to feed out to small animals from the 8oz deli cup.  If you keep the cup full of substrate, the springtails crawl on the lid, and if you remove the lid carefully, there will be many springtails on the lid that can be just tapped off to feed small animals.
